In the latest patch, hotfix delta, the rof for scrambler rifle was reduced to 600. Unforeseeably, CCP also extended this nerf to the ASCR which makes it pretty much the most useless gun in the game. It was already quite horrible without the Heat nerf added without any tradeoff in terms of damage. Currently, it has heat buildup inside a single clip, a horrible rof and the gun bounces around giving the player disturbing signals of high kick.
At 35.75 x 600 - 21450 dmg per minute
In comparison-
Duvolle assault rifle- 27192 dmg per minute Creodron breach- 27402 dmg per minute
Boundless CR- 35640 dmg per minute Sixkin CR- 26196 dmg per minute
Kaalakiota Rail rifle- 23861 dmg per minute Ishukone Rail rifle - 24000 dmg per minute
One more aspect we have to consider is that the assault scrambler rifles Dmg per minute is alot different, this is due to the fact that its dmg profile means it has much reduced dps against balanced/armour tanked suits as it suffers a -20% damage penalty. As a result, taking on a heavy or another assault suit/scout would be immensely inefficient in comparison to other weapons.
Secondly, the dmg per minute reflected is not accurate because the ASCR has an overheat functionality which means that there would be a 5 second seize or a 9 second cooldown before even a clip is expended. This would result in noticeably lower dmg per minute.
Hopefully this has shown you why the damage of the carthum assault scrambler rifle perhaps needs to be brought on par with the ishukone rail rifle or increased above it, as the ishukone RR has a higher range, more dps, no overheat and a better accuracy given the recent "parameter" changes in hotfix delta, heck the kaalakiota is pinpoint now. The recent inclusion of 1000 armour assaults definitely did not help the gun and this recent nerf i believe was a mistake rather than a purposeful change.
Hopefully, this will bring some relevance to the gun, and put amarrian tech on par with the other factions once again.

Even with the old ROF the weapon was still noticeably weaker than other alternatives, the point of this thread is to acknowledge and fix that issue.

Dispersion was never the issue though was it rattati.... anyone who is proficient with the ASCR knows what its real problem is the TTK being longer than other guns, not that it cant hit what it needs to hit.
What annoys me is how this gun is constantly ignored while all its competitors are constantly improved....
Seriously.... rail rifle and AR changes but no ASCR buff?
